FN Browning 1910 / 1922

Anyone here familiar with the FN Browning 1922 Handguns ? They seem like a good buy if you're into historic .32-ACP semi-auto pistols.

How well do they handle +P+ hollow-points?
That, alone, will decide if it is a collectible historical curiosity or a night stand compadre.
Browning is a hallmark of quality.

From what I've read online, some have issues with 'feeding' but polishing the feed ramp solves this issue.

I also think you can run .380 through it as well.

Yes, there are 32acp (ahem, 7.65) and a 380acp models per your very excellent link.

I love the old FN Brownings especially the Baby. Would not depend on something that old for self defence but would spend the frns to get one for the collection.

Well, got a GLOCK for defense with a Beretta as backup.........but have an eye on some FN's with Nazi markings.

Yep, do you see the 'Grip Safety' ? .......and I think it's a carry-over from the 1910 model.

Makes me wonder if the Colt 1911 would of ever been built without Browning's design ?!?

AD, would you qualify the gun as concealable?

Definitely........it looks 'large' but the frame is smaller in person. I guess people were a bit smaller with smaller hands or something. Heck, a young teenage boy could easily handle this weapon. It's a tad lighter than my Glock 22 and yet it looks about 3/4ths the size.........next to it, my GLock is a Gorilla !!!!

ANyhow, it's very concealable yet I'd search out a 1910 model that has a shorter barrel and shorter grip if you want something 'small'.

:ok:

The Soviet Tokarev TT was based on the Browning, its kind of like a Model 1922 2.0,Mine is Russian(originally 7.62x25) which i rebarreled from a Chinese N-11 clone to 9mm. It is very reliable and comfortable.

My wife was interested in one of those off of classicarms.us but after some initial reviews we read that recoil is significant and she declined. Would agree that recoil is comparable or greater than say 45acp? The barrel looks long enough to control muzzle flip.
